About Me

I am a native English speaker currently living in Australia, immersed in an English-speaking culture, which means I remain abreast of contemporary culture, nuances, slang, and context.

I have always had a penchant towards language and the written word.
With a keen ability to grasp underlying themes and the author's true intent,
as well as the talent for creating clear, concise, and eloquent English,
I am well-equipped to take your lovingly-crafted story and convey it to a global audience in English.

My specialty lies in entertainment and subtitle translation.

Essentially, translations that require a high degree of creativity
and that also adhere to strict stylistic guidelines.

In addition, I am also well versed in business, tourism, marketing,
and education translations.

I am a former official court transcriptionist with a typing speed of over 100 wpm, and am experienced in legal, medical, technical, and scientific English transcription.

In 2024, I am proud to say that I became the Chair of JAT’s revived entertainment SIG, JATENT. Through JATENT’s activities, I hope to increase the standing of Japanese and English translations of entertainment around the world.

Finally, I am passionate about Buddhism, animal welfare, sci-fi and fantasy,
gaming, D&D, and traveling in general!
